Centrifugal and vibratory feed rates ebb and flow from moment to moment, meaning some seconds the parts are back to back and other seconds there are gaps and inconsistent part line-up. The Hoosier Pacer Wheel mechanism is designed to contact each part, rotating at a specific speed, near the feeder discharge to pull separation and/or slow the part flow down so that the next machine receives the exact number of parts per minute it requires.
This mechanism, widely used for various kinds of inspection, is perfect when back to back part flow creates issues for your automated system. For purely inspection purposes, it can be important to provide a camera or sensor with enough time to assess and execute whatever action is programmed. If your system needs regulated part feed, Hoosier Feeder Company can help.
Almost all automated processes will utilize some sort of parts feeder, but in order to correctly implement one, it is important to know the major differences.
